Dr. Deborah Vollmer Dahlke is an accomplished technology entrepreneur, public health researcher, and author passionate about applying mobile technology in cancer research. At her firm, DVD Associates (DVDA), Deborah provides strategic consulting and grant writing for early-stage cancer drug development companies and has helped her clients win ~ $208 Million in non-dilutive Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) product development grants and SBIRs, matched by between $1.2 to $1.4 Billion in the past 12 years. At DVDA, Deborah is also involved in designing, developing, and evaluating mHealth applications for health behavior change, primarily in collaboration with her colleagues at TX A&M School of Public Health.

Before developing an interest in public health and technology, Deborah worked with early-stage companies and in management consulting. She co-founded Zilliant, a successful enterprise pricing software company, and led the firm in raising over $14 million in venture capitalization. Deborah’s consulting history includes tours of duty at Deloitte & Touche and McKinsey and Company, Inc.  Deborah received her B.Sc. degree from Indiana University and graduated with honors with an MPAff degree from the LBJ School at The University of Texas in Austin and a Doctorate in Public Health from Texas A&M University. She is an adjunct associate professor at the TX A&M School of Public Health, a Senior Fellow in the TAMU Center for Population Health and Aging, and an Alpha Tau Chapter Delta Omega Society member.

When not building mobile apps or working with DVDA clients in her consulting duties, she can be found riding motorcycles with her husband, Michael, in the Texas Hill Country, tending her beehives, or happily silversmithing in her studio.
