Deborah Kletzky Schlossman MD

Dr. Deborah Schlossman, an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, graduated from Tufts Medical School in 1988. She completed her Ophthalmology Residency at the Georgetown Medical School Center for Sight and a Diabetic Eye Disease/Medical Retina Fellowship at the Beetham Eye Institute, Joslin Diabetes Center. Dr. Schlossman has been seeing patients full time at the Joslin Diabetes Center since 1992.

Her primary interests include diabetic eye disease, cataract surgery, and clinical teaching. She has been the offsite program director for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center residents during their ophthalmology rotations since 1998. Dr. Schlossman is a co-investigator on multiple clinical trials including the diabetic retinopathy clinical research network studies. In addition to diagnosing and treating diabetic retinopathy, she specializes in cataract surgery in diabetic patients.
