Biography :

Dr. Levine is the medical director of the lung transplant program and the director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Center at University Health System and UT Health San Antonio. She received her medical degree at the University of Arizona before pursuing a medical residency and pulmonary fellowship in Arizona. She then completed her critical care fellowship and a specialized fellowship in Lung Transplantation and Interventional Pulmonary at UT Health San Antonio. Since that time, she has devoted all of her clinical time to evaluating and managing pre-and post-lung transplant patients as well as patients with pulmonary hypertension. Her primary research focuses on antibody-mediated rejection in lung transplantation, but she is also working with lung donors and how to better manage them in the ICU. Dr. Levine is the principal investigator on many multi-center trials in both lung transplant and pulmonary hypertension and has presented and published in both specialties.
