Deborah Friel

Deborah Friel is an academic at CQUniversity and has held the position of director of the Centre for Professional Development for the past 6 years. Following her hospital-based nursing training, Deb commenced tertiary study while working as a clinical nurse specialist in areas of intensive care, management and clinical education for over 15 years. Deb has several conference papers, publications and two book chapters in the areas of organ donation and critical care and is passionate about ensuring professionals across all disciplines have contemporary professional development opportunities to continue lifelong learning and improved practice while maintaining a work-life blend.
