Deborah Ebert Long BA, MD

Deborah is the Vice President for North America Medical Affairs at Vertex, a role she has held since 2017. Prior to this, Deborah led the US Medical Affairs COPD team at GSK, and the Internal Medicine Medical Monitoring group at PRA. She earned her MD from the University of Massachusetts, completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Deborah spent a decade practicing pulmonary and critical care medicine prior to joining the industry.
