Deborah A. Satterfield MD

Deborah Satterfield, MD, is a family physician at Providence Medical Group (PMG) in Oregon, where she also serves as East Area Medical Director, with responsibility for clinical leadership of 20 primary care clinics in Portland. Since she began working at Providence Health and Services in 1993, until 2014 when she became an area medical director, Dr. Satterfield performed full-spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics, for a culturally diverse population.
She continues to practice family medicine one day a week, maintaining a small panel of frail elders. For the past seven years, Dr. Satterfield has been involved in team-based care at PMG as a strong advocate for the use of behavioral health providers, pharmacists, and case managers in the care of complex patients. Dr. Satterfield earned her medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, where she also completed her internship and residency in 1982.
