Dr. Debabrata Dash got an award from the World of Great Faces for best service in Cardiology in recognition of his contribution to the development of cardiology in India. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, Dr. Dash was the only Indian to be invited to speak on the latest advances in complex interventions like CTO, Bifurcation, Left Main, imaging like IVUS, FFR, and OCT. in numerous international cardiology scientific meetings.

He was the First cardiologist from India to be invited as international faculty to speak and chair scientific sessions at almost all major cardiology meetings namely, the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutic (USA), Complex Cardiovascular Therapeutics (Japan), China Interventional Therapeutics (Beijing), SOLACI (Latin America), TCT Asia Pacific (Korea), MYLIVE (Malaysia), Innovations in Cardiac Interventions (Israel), Cardiovascular Revascularization Therapy (USA), Asia Pacific Heart Association, APHA-GWICC (China), ASSA (Singapore).

Dr. Dash, in 2010, was invited as a Guest cardiologist to Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute, Guangzhou where his work pertaining to coronary, peripheral, and carotid angioplasty was overwhelmingly well appreciated.

An internationally acclaimed Interventional cardiologist, Dr. Dash is by far one of the most decorated cardiologists in the country for having been awarded the “Excellent Interventional Cardiologist of the Year (2011-2012)”.

He is the first Indian to be appointed as Honorary Professor of Cardiology at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, and Capital Medical University in China.

Currently, Dr. Dash is serving as Vice Chairperson of the Asia Pacific Association of Interventional Cardiology (APAIC) a member association of APHA.
