Deanne Romero MEd

Ms. Romero, a Colorado native, found passion in being physically active as a child. She played softball, basketball, volleyball, and even wrestling. Ms. Romero figured becoming a physical education and health teacher was the best way to motivate others in living a health-enhancing life. She has been teaching physical education and health, at both middle school and high school levels since 2002; 11 years in St. Vrain Valley school district and 3 years in Adams 12.

In 2015, Ms. Romero was named SHAPE CO Health Education Teacher of the Year, and in 2017, SHAPE America named her the Central District Health Education Teacher of the Year Ms. Romero has passed on her love for physical activity to her own children and now enjoys watching them participate in a variety of ways. Her oldest son lives in Florida and is a college baseball umpire. Her youngest is busy with basketball and competitive baseball.
