Dean Chou MD

Dean Chou, MD, is the associate director of the University of California San Francisco Spine Center and an associate professor of clinical neurological surgery. He is a charter member of the Spinal Oncology Study Group, an international consortium of experts in the field of spinal tumors. He is also an advisory board member for Spine.

Dr. Chou specializes in complex spine surgery and treats spinal deformities, such as scoliosis, kyphosis, kyphoscoliosis and flatback syndrome. He also treats spinal tumors and degenerative conditions of the spine, including spondylolisthesis and stenosis. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Chou is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society.
