Dawn Tymianski RN, MSc, PhD

Dawn Tymianski is a clinical nurse specialist with advanced knowledge in neurovascular surgery. As a clinician, she assess, diagnose and manages the complex neurosurgical patients that are hospitalized. Her other roles are the education of patient and family, and the education of the staff and nursing students. In addition she spend two days a week in ambulatory care with the MD's that are involved with vascular surgery.
She is also in involved in various committees for neuro, such as the neuro quality assurance. A member of the task force for the implementation of the proposed rehabilitation unit, part of the Advanced practice nurses data base team which is designing a system to follow advanced practice nurses at the UHN, member of the nursing council, and the contact person for the Toronto Brain Vascular Malformation Support Group.
