David Taehyung Ahn MD

David Ahn, M.D. is an Endocrinologist, Program Director, and Kris V. Iyer Endowed Chair in Diabetes Care at the Mary and Dick Allen Diabetes Center in Newport Beach, CA. He is a leading digital health speaker, writer, and innovator.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he currently serves as the Technology Editor for the blog for the not-for-profit Taking Control of Your Diabetes. Prior to this, he spent 5 years as Staff Writer for iMedicalApps.com, covering the evolving medical app landscape, the launch of the iPad, the launch of fitness trackers, and the Apple Watch. His writing has also been featured on Medgadget, KevinMD, MedPageToday, and AACE publications. 

In April 2017, he served as co-chair of the Clinical Diabetes Technology Meeting in Houston. In June 2019, he authored the chapter "Apps for Diabetes Management and Communication between Patients and Providers" for the ADA-Published Diabetes Technology Science and Practice textbook.
