David Stone BA(Hons), DipM, MBA

David Stone is a consultant in information governance who specialises in data protection law, policy and information risk management in the public sector, especially health and social care. He is founder and managing director of successful consultancy, Kaleidoscope Consultants: a group of subject matter experts working across the public, private and voluntary sectors advising on the utilisation of sensitive personal data, data sharing and technologies.

Recent projects include: supporting the NHS England Test-Bed programme, supporting companies (from America, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Poland) through the NHS Information Governance Toolkit, an IG review of a health provider in Doha, Qatar, and consulting on regional data sharing across a number of STPs. Kaleidoscope have worked on a number of research projects, including obtaining section 251 approval, consent for contact programmes, and with Academic Health Sciences Networks.
