David Reutens MD, FRACP

Prof Reutens is the Director of the Centre for Advanced Imaging and previous Professor of Neuroscience at Monash University. He is also a clinical neurologist specialising in epilepsy and is a senior staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He directs the Australian Mouse Brain Mapping Consortium. Research in the Reuten’s Lab focuses the development of imaging methods, the study/prediction of epileptogenesis, antiepileptogenic therapies and the study of anti epileptic diets using animal models of epilepsy, such as zebrafish and mice. Prof Reutens will present on the theme of disease-modifying strategies for the process of epileptogenesis.
