David P. Chelmow MD

David P. Chelmow, M.D., has been named professor and chair of the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

He will join the VCU faculty following 18 years at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he currently is professor and vice chair for research and education, and program director for the Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Tufts University Affiliated Hospitals.

Chelmow earned his undergraduate degree from Williams College, and his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco.
