David E. Owens, MD, MBCHB, FRCS, MPHIL, PGDME, FFST(Ed) is a Consultant Otolaryngologist working at the University Hospital of Wales. Although practicing general Otolaryngology, he has a specialist interest in Head and Neck Oncological Surgery. David has an active interest in research and audit in both undergraduate and postgraduate groups and has co-organized/developed the RCSEd All Wales Medical Student Research symposium. In relation to education, David has been involved in program development and assessment at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Within his educational remit, he has experience and interest in the development of online synchronous educational opportunities and will be exploring this as part of his role as the Surgical Adviser in eLearning.
