David Oliver MSc, PhD

David was the lead for the MSc in Supportive and Palliative Care, now the MSc in Specialist Healthcare (Supportive and Palliative Care) and has taught on the modules, been a tutor and supervised students. In 2013 he started to teach on courses at the Tizard Center, on end of life care in learning disability. He has supervised two Doctorate students to completion and has a further PhD student submitting in 2015.

David has written and spoken widely on the palliative care of people with neurological disease, and in particular motor neurone disease. He speaks regularly at international and national congresses. He is Chair of a taskforce of the European Association for Palliative Care and the European Academy of Neurology on neurological palliative care.
