Dr. David Mudge is a consultant nephrologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital and visiting nephrologist at Redland Hospital, where he manages a satellite haemodialysis unit.

Dr. Mudge's clinical research interests include the thrombotic microangiopathies, iron status and iron supplementation in CKD and transplant patients, peritoneal dialysis outcomes, and the use of honey to prevent infections in dialysis patients. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts with over 1000 citations.

He is currently a member of the International Society of Nephrology's Young Nephrologists Committee, an Editor for the Cochrane Renal Group, and a member of the Kidney Health Australia-Caring for Australasians with Renal Impairment (KHA-CARI) Guidelines Steering Committee.
