David Matthews MD

Professor Matthews is a Professor of Diabetes Medicine. He founded the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and was its Chairman for ten years.
He is the Founding Director of the Oxford Health Alliance, which includes the Tseu Medical Institute – an organization dedicated to capacity building in lower-middle income countries. The fellowship programme builds bridges between Oxford and other centres in LMIC countries, fostering academic links and education. There are fellows in Brazil, Colombo, Sri Lanka, Greece, Kuwait, and Cameroon.
