Dr. David M. Faleck, MD, is a gastroenterologist and Assistant Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), where he also serves as Director of Inflammatory and Immune-Related Bowel Diseases. He specializes in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and the management of gastrointestinal complications related to cancer immunotherapy, including immune checkpoint inhibitor–induced colitis and other immune-related enterocolitis conditions.
Dr. Faleck earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Columbia University Medical Center, and pursued gastroenterology fellowship training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. In addition to his clinical practice, he leads multidisciplinary research focused on improving the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of immunotherapy-related gastrointestinal toxicity and advancing biomarkers for early detection of IBD-associated dysplasia and colorectal cancer. At MSKCC, he works closely with oncologists, surgeons, and allied specialists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care aimed at improving outcomes and quality of life for individuals with complex gastrointestinal and oncologic conditions.
