David Lawrence Sutcliffe MD

Dr. David Lawrence Sutcliffe, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Health who specializes in caring for children with heart failure or who have undergone heart transplantation. He serves as Medical Director of the Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) program at the Heart Center and Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Sutcliffe earned his medical degree and completed a pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He completed an additional fellowship in pediatric transplant medicine at Harvard University – Boston Children’s Hospital, where he was awarded the Kane-Owens Award for Compassionate Care.

Dr. Sutcliffe's research interests are Pediatric Cardiology, Cardiac Intensive Care, Heart Failure, Heart Transplantation, Cardiology, and Heart Surgery.
