David C. Kaslow, M.D., is director of the Office of Vaccines Research and Review (OVRR), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US FDA). Prior to joining the US FDA in October of 2022, David served as PATH’s Chief Scientific Officer, supporting PATH’s Drug Innovation and Access Initiative and heading PATH’s Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access (CVIA). His 35+ years of experience in use-inspired research, product development, and product introduction include the U.S. government (NIH), biotech (Vical), multi-national pharma (Merck Research Laboratories), and non-profit (PATH) sectors. David served in the U.S. Public Health Service at NIAID and has served on a number of advisory committees, including the WHO Product Development of Vaccines Advisory Committee (PDVAC).
