David Joseph Slutsky is an internationally recognized, Board Certified Hand Surgeon and active Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, who dedicates his practice to the surgical and medical management of acute and chronic injuries of the hand, wrist, and forearm. Dr. Slutsky’s emphasis is on the education of his patients which is aided by his extensive 25-year experience in the field as well as numerous publications and over 100 international lectures.

He has remained academic though and he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is the past President of the Southern California Society for Surgery of the Hand and he was on a number of committees for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand including chairing the Publications and Products Advisory group from 2010-2013. He was also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedics Distal Radius Fracture Guidelines committee from 2008-2009. He has chaired 33 national and international courses for the ASSH and other organizations. He has also chaired and participated in 8 webinars on Vumedi.com and the AAOS, on distal radius fractures (twice), scaphoid fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve transfers for radial nerve palsy, wrist arthroscopy, and trapeziometacarpal arthritis.
