David J. Mathison MD, MBA, FAAP

David J Mathison, MD, MBA, FAAP, is an attending physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine and Trauma Services at Children's National Health System. His practice focuses on the use of technology to improve patient education, the quality of patient care, and clinical efficiency in the emergency department. Dr. Mathison also serves as the Medical Director of the pediatric transport team to help coordinate the 6000 annual ambulance and helicopter transports to Children's National. Dr. Mathison is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians. He lectures on various topics including: pediatric trauma, dermatology, and educational technology. He completed his residency and chief residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and his fellowship at Children's National. Dr. Mathison is a native of Rockville, MD and currently resides in Washington, DC, with his wife, daughter, and newborn twins.
