David Fiore MD, FAAFP

David M. Fiore, MD has been a faculty member at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine since 1992. He serves as lead faculty for the Wilderness Medicine Program, overseeing student and resident wilderness medicine tracks as well as a dedicated wilderness medicine fellowship.

Dr. Fiore is deeply engaged in outdoor and expedition-based medicine, with particular involvement in whitewater and backcountry skiing, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Sierra Avalanche Center since 2010. He has authored multiple national and international publications and delivered professional presentations in the field of wilderness medicine. His global medical education experience includes serving as a physician and physician educator in Saipan, Myanmar, and Bhutan.
