David Duckworth MBBS, FRACS

Dr. Duckworth is an Orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery. He performs arthroscopic, reconstructive, replacement and trauma surgery on the shoulder and elbow. Dr Duckworth’s key surgical interest is shoulder replacement surgery and management of complex fracture cases such as clavicle fractures.

Dr Duckworth is best known for his relaxed and professional manner and he is passionate about ensuring his patients receive the best possible outcome. Born in Sydney, and educated at King's, he then studied medicine at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. After graduating in 1986 he undertook Orthopaedic training in the Sydney Orthopaedic training programme and obtained his surgical fellowship, FRACS (Orth), in 1996.

He now runs a busy practice at Norwest Private Hospital, Sydney Adventist Hospital at Wahroonga and Mater Hospital at Wollstonecraft. He is also a visiting surgeon and head of the Orthopaedic Department at Hornsby Public Hospital. He does shoulder and elbow trauma call at both hospitals and has a particular interest in reconstructing difficult shoulder fractures.
