David C. Templeman MD

Dr. David C. Templeman, MD, of Minneapolis, Minn. was named Board of Specialty Societies (BOS) chair for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons(AAOS) during its 2014 Annual Meeting. Dr. Templeman specializes in the treatment of pelvic, hip joints, and lower-extremity fractures. He is past president of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) and has served for two years as an AAOS board member since being elected secretary of the BOS. He is a professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, where he is a two-time recipient of the “Teacher of the Year” award.

Dr. Templeman is a past participant in Doctors Without Borders, caring for patients and educating surgeons in Indonesia, Nigeria, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Afghanistan. D. Templeman earned bachelor's and medical degrees from the University of Iowa. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and he completed a fellowship at the University of California, Davis.
