Dr. David Leeser is the Chief of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Director of the Fellowship in Transplantation. Dr. Leeser is nationally and internationally recognized for his expertise in Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation. In addition, Dr. Leeser has a strong commitment to the care of patients with ESRD and provides hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis access care at the University of Maryland Medical Center, the Shore Health Medical Center at Easton and at Charles Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Leeser has a strong interest and involvement in Paired Kidney Exchange and was part of the the transplant team that performed the nation's first three-way multi-center living-donor kidney transplant surgery chain. Dr Leeser works with several exchange programs nationally and internationally and is on the Medical Board of the National Kidney Registry. Dr Leeser has published multiple articles and spoken at national meetings about the importance and impressive results of Paired Kidney Exchange.
