Dr. David Benjamin Boyce is an Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Medicine specialist who uses state-of-the-art ultrasound-guided techniques and a personal approach to improve health by providing exceptional, safe, timely and cost-effective care. At this time, Dr. Boyce is not accepting chronic pain patients.

Dr. Boyce is the Medical Director of the Mass General Waltham Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC). Dr. Boyce attended Cornell University and Tufts University School of Medicine. Since 2013, he has worked as a Clinical Instructor, Harvard Medical School and Attending Physician in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Boyce brings strong leadership skills and experience in operating room operations and management, having served as one of a small core team of anesthesiologists-in-charge of the main operating room at BWH. He is focused on the needs of the patients as well as the surgical teams, and these priorities have guided thoughtful daily management, in addition to effective process improvement over time. He has been an active member of the BWH faculty board for BWH Anesthesia and the Mass General Brigham 2.0 Anesthesia Asset Management Committee. He brings a broad background of clinical excellence, teaching and engagement to his new role.

Dr. Boyce is a skilled clinician, both in the OR and in the outpatient pain setting, where his specialty has been post-operative pain and non-opioid alternatives to managing chronic pain. He is an authentic, supportive, solution-oriented and thoughtful clinician who will build effective working relationships across surgical services, GI and IR to support the next phase of growth and development for Mass General Waltham Surgery. Dr. Boyce is a genuine and thoughtful leader who values working relationships and a team approach, and is committed to maintaining and growing a successful OSC at Mass General Waltham.
