David Mansur, MD, is an Associate professor of radiation oncology and pediatrics and Director of Pediatric and Hematologic Radiation Oncology at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center and UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. He is also Vice Chair for Proton Therapy in the department of radiation oncology.
Dr. Mansur is board certified in radiation oncology. His special interest is pediatric and adult brain tumor management, lymphoma, leukemia, sarcoma, skin cancer and proton beam radiation therapy. He joined UH Seidman Cancer Center’s hospital staff in 2012.
Dr. Mansur’s research interest is adult and pediatric leukemia including total body irradiation and targeted marrow irradiation. He has published over sixty peer-reviewed articles and book chapters about adult and pediatric oncology and is a reviewer for the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics and for Radiotherapy and Oncology. He also is a frequent presenter and speaker on radiation oncology at local, regional and national medical meetings and conferences. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Proton Therapy.
He is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group Radiation Oncology Committee. Dr. Mansur graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He earned his medical degree from the University of University of Kansas School of Medicine. He served his radiation oncology residency at the University of Chicago, where he received the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology & Oncology Research Fellowship award.
