David A. Fetter MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in active private practice for over 37 years with a special interest in consulting on complex orthopedic causation cases.
Dr. Fetter received CEDIR certification, the physician credential of competence providing IME's, in the Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating by the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. He is a member of the Mid-America Orthopedic Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. Dr. Fetter is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
In 1971, Dr. Fetter received his BA degree cum laude, from West Virginia University. He received his MD degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1974. Dr. Fetter completed a surgery internship at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York. Dr. Fetter completed a total joint replacement fellowship at Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, in 1978. He served as President of the Lake County, Illinois Medical Society in 1997. Dr. Fetter is on the medical staff of multiple Illinois hospitals.
