Dr. David A. Duchene is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Director of Minimally-Invasive Urological Surgery and Kidney Stone Disease. Born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Dr. Duchene received his undergraduate degree in biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed medical school training, general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and then finished an Endourological Society fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic urological surgery and stone disease at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
