David A D'alessioMD
Dr. David D’Alessio, MD is Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, and Professor of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. He received his MD from the University of Wisconsin, did a residency and research fellowship at Temple University and training in Endocrinology at the University of Washington. Dr D’Alessio leads a research program focused on the regulation of glucose tolerance by GI hormones. He is a practicing endocrinologist and attends lipid and diabetes clinics at the Durham VA as well as doing consultation rounds at Duke Hospital.
