Daryl J. Kor, MD, is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. An internationally recognized anesthesiologist, intensivist, and clinical investigator, he is known for his leadership in perioperative medicine, patient blood management, transfusion medicine, critical care, and biomedical informatics.

Dr. Kor earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed a preliminary residency in Internal Medicine, a residency in Anesthesiology, and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic. He also obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Clinical and Translational Science, focusing on the prediction and early detection of perioperative acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Kor's research centers on perioperative blood health, transfusion therapy, patient blood management, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), acute kidney injury, and postoperative complications. His work leverages advanced biomedical informatics, electronic health records, and predictive analytics to identify patients at risk for serious complications and to develop strategies that improve patient outcomes.
