Dr. Dany Dominguez Perez as leader of the NextGen Community Health Collaborative is responsible for establishing and realizing NextGen’s vision to launch the NextGen Community Health Collaborative (NCHC). The collaborative’s central vision is to offer data benchmarking, comparative analytics, and reporting services, plus a forum for members to connect and share best practices to advance the mission of community health. Dr. Dominguez has practiced clinical medicine in four countries, including two years in Africa treating patients with HIV and a year of medical missions in South America.
He went to medical school in Cuba and became a Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Specialist. While practicing in Cuba, he taught neuroscience to pre-med medical students. Over the last eight years, he has been deeply involved in Population Health Management and using data to produce meaningful and actionable insights. He was part of the team that started Eagle Dream Health, which became Population Health Solution after Nextgen HealthCare acquired it. His extensive clinical and technical background put together a unique perspective on how healthcare can be delivered. With this comprehensive view, he spends most of his time helping providers, care teams and organizations to face the challenges and embace the opportunities of healthcare.
