Danielle Renee Reed PhD

Dr. Reed is the Associate Director of the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, which is a non-profit research institute with scientists that use a multidisciplinary approach to study taste and smell. The University of Washington awarded Dr. Reed a Bachelor of Science and Yale University awarded her a Ph.D. She trained as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Scientists in her laboratory study how inborn genetic differences account for personal differences in taste perception. She is a member of several National Institutes of Health Study Sections, the co-Director of postdoctoral training and a fan of Hadley Wickam's tidyR packages.
