Danielle DeCourcey, MD, MPH is a pediatric critical care physician with a clinical and research interest in palliative care focused on improving the care of children with serious illness, particularly those children with medical complexity. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Physician at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) where she also serves as the Associate Chief of the Division of Medical Critical Care.

She completed the Harvard Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship and received her master’s degree in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health with a focus on clinical effectiveness. Her current work is focused on expanding primary palliative care through the creation of a framework to support non-palliative care clinicians in communicating with children, adolescents, and young adults with serious illness and their families to improve longitudinally advanced care planning and ensure the care we provide is aligned with patient and family goals and values.
