Danielle Freedman obtained her Medical Degree from Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine of the University of London in 1976. She trained as a Pathologist at Royal Free Hospital and then specialised as Lecturer in Clinical Biochemistry and Endocrinology at the Middlesex Hospital Medical School (University of London).
She is currently Consultant Chemical Pathologist & Associate Physician in Clinical Endocrinology, Divisional Director of Laboratory Medicine, Radiology, Pharmacy & Therapies at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Luton, UK. In addition, she was the Hospital Medical Director for 5 years (2005-2010).She is a frequently invited speaker both nationally and internationally on the above topics and she has more than 75 scientific papers and book chapters.
