Daniela Justine Lamas MD

Daniela Lamas, MD, is a pulmonary and critical care fellow who is also working on the Serious Illness Care Program.Her first rounds at Brigham and Women’s Hospital occurred around the age of four, when she would accompany her father, a cardiologist, on the weekends. At this point, interest in medicine took a back seat to her interest in journalism.

She did, however, embark on a stint as the editor of Harvard University’s daily paper and then a year at the Miami Herald as a medical reporter. After this, Daniela moved to New York City for medical school and ultimately moved back to Boston to work for a year with the New England Journal.

Daniela is currently entering her second year of pulmonary fellowship and is excited to work with the End-of-Life Program team. Daniela received her M.D. from Columbia University and her B.A. from Harvard University with a concentration in history of science. During medical school, Daniela completed her residency at New York Presbyterian-Columbia, where she studied interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and access to tertiary care.
