Dr. Daniel Wright senior scientific advisor and program director for Hematology Research will retire from the NIDDK Division of Kidney, Urologic, and Hematologic Diseases after eight years at NIDDK. He also represented NIDDK on the American Society of Hematology Government Affairs Committee and provided input to the amyloidosis subcommittee of the Trans-NIH Rare Diseases Research Working Group, among other roles. Before coming to NIDDK, Wright was chief of hematology and oncology at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. He also held positions at Johns Hopkins University, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and the NIH’s National Cancer Institute among others.
