Daniel W. Leighton BS, MSMT, ASCP(MT), ABB(HCLD), CLB

Mr. Leighton is a California State Licensed Clinical Laboratory Bioanalyst Laboratory Director, and is Board Certified through the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Laboratory Director. Mr. Leighton has a BS degree in Microbiology from Long Beach State University, and an MS degree from California State University at Dominguez Hills. Mr. Leighton has many years’ experience in the Clinical Laboratory Field with employment in Hospital Laboratories, Independent Laboratories, Medical Industry, and as an Independent Laboratory Consultant. Mr. Leighton’s job descriptions have included Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Director, Laboratory Owner, and Senior Applications Scientist.

Mr. Leighton is past President and Secretary for the California Association of Bioanalysts, and currently serves as Director at Large for CAB. Serves as Chair of Government & Professional Relations to AAB’s Western Regional Board of Governors. Presently serves Laboratory Field Services as a member of the Clinical Laboratory Technology Advisory Committee (CLTAC) representing Clinical Laboratory Bioanalysts, and is on the Subcommittee to Assist with Regulations. Mr. Leighton actively consults to Physician Office Laboratories, Hospital Labs, and Independent Labs, and is presently Laboratory Director for 4 labs.
