Daniel Smith MBChB, MRCP(UK), FRACP, PhD

Daniel Smith completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Birmingham, England in 2001. Daniel Smith obtained membership in the Royal College of Physicians, London, in 2005, before migrating to Australia. Daniel Smith completed his Fellowship in Sleep and Respiratory Failure at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane and gained a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in early 2010 with recognition as a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Specialist. Daniel Smith completed a PhD, studying factors that promote persistent Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in people with cystic fibrosis in 2015. Research Daniel Smith has undertaken on the causes of residual sleepiness post-CPAP treatment and on the causes of sleepiness in people with heart failure has been presented at national and international scientific meetings.
