Daniel Ayers, LCSW received his Master's degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002. He became fully licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in 2005 and has practiced in a variety of clinical settings that include public mental health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and private practice. He commissioned as a Behavioral Health Officer in the NC ARNG in 2013 and was hired full-time as the Director of Psychological Health for the National Guard in 2014. He was responsible for the establishment and development of the Guard's psychological readiness program that now operates with 22 full-time staff supporting the ten thousand Soldiers of the NC ARNG. CPT Ayers deployed to the Middle East in 2016 providing full-spectrum behavioral healthcare in multiple duty locations. He continues to manage the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Operations Program at Joint Forces Headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.
