Dr. Daniel Robaei is a clinical cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in the combined fields of interventional cardiology and cardiac imaging. He holds public hospital Staff Specialist appointments at Sutherland Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, with practicing rights also at Eastern Heart Clinic, Prince of Wales Private Hospital, and Kareena Private Hospital.

Dr. Robaei completed his medical training in 2006 at the University of New South Wales, graduating with honors. His cardiology training was undertaken at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He subsequently completed subspecialty fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Prince of Wales Hospital, before expanding his experience in complex coronary interventions in London, United Kingdom. Dr. Robaei is dual subspecialty trained having also undertaken fellowship training in echocardiography at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, and CT coronary angiography training in the United States. Such broad skill is rare in the field of cardiology and has imparted Dr. Robaei a particularly well-rounded approach to patient care. Consequently, Dr. Robaei is respected as having expertise in the assessment and management of a wide range of cardiac conditions.

Dr. Robaei understands and values the importance of empowering patients in their own health care. He has a special interest in preventative cardiology and assisting patients with positive lifestyle modifications. Dr. Robaei has an active role in cardiovascular research and has published widely in the fields of clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology, and echocardiography. He has presented regularly at local and international conferences.

Dr. Robaei was anointed fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014 and the European Society of Cardiology in 2017. He holds an academic appointment as a Lecturer at the University of New South Wales where he has been recognized with a Teaching Excellence award from the Faculty of Medicine.
