Daniel R. Ludwig, MD, is an assistant professor of radiology for the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Ludwig serves as the quality and safety officer for the abdominal imaging section and is the medical director for MRI safety at MIR. A MIR alumnus, Ludwig completed a diagnostic radiology residency at MIR in the research track and participated in the Training Opportunities in Translational Imaging Education and Research (TOP-TIER) T32 training program. He subsequently completed his fellowship in body MRI at MIR and became a faculty member in the abdominal imaging section in 2020. 

Prior to residency, Ludwig earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and participated in the Physician Scientist Training Program (PSTP). He earned his bachelor’s degree from Brown University in biomedical engineering.
