Daniel Muniz-pumares PhD

Dr. Daniel Muniz-Pumares, Ph.D. is a Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology at the University of Hertfordshire. He teaches exercise physiology to the undergraduate course and supervises various postgraduate students. His Ph.D. was undertaken at St Mary’s University investigating anaerobic energy production during high-intensity exercise. His current research interests are focused on fatigue and limits of exercise tolerance.

Daniel's researches are on endurance exercise and exercise tolerance. His current research interest is around the physiological responses to exercise, and how these are dictated by physiological thresholds, particularly critical power. He is interested in how physiological responses determine how fatigue develops and ultimately causes exhaustion.
