Daniel Fulkerson, MD, has an undergraduate BS degree in aerospace engineering and a BA degree in government studies from the University of Notre Dame. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM); internship in general surgery from Wright State University, Dayton, OH; residency training in neurologic surgery from Indiana University School of Medicine of Neurologic Surgery, Indianapolis, IN; and fellowship in neurosurgery at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX.

Dr. Fulkerson is board certified by the American Board of Neurologic Surgery. In addition to his clinical neurosurgery practice at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, Dr. Fulkerson is also an assistant professor at IUSM, Department of Neurologic Surgery, receiving several faculty teaching awards.

Dr. Fulkerson achieved the rank of captain in the United States Air Force; served as Emergency Physician in the 35th Medical Operations Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan; received Commendation Medal (2003); and has performed neurosurgery and provided neurosurgical care at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, AMPATH Mission, Eldoret Kenya, Africa.
