Daniel Nieto Garcia is a Postdoctoral Researcher at I2C in the Department of Applied Physics. M. Sc in Experimental Physics from the National University of Ireland and Doctor in Photonics and Laser Technologies (cum laude and extraordinary prize 2012) by USC. He has postdoctoral stays at the Harvard Medical School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and at the Medical Bioengineering Institute of the University of Oxford. He was a senior researcher at the National Centre for Laser Applications at the University of Ireland where he is currently coordinating the fabrication unit. Member of the Photonics4Life Research Group (GI-1479) of the USC and researcher associated with the muscle-skeletal pathology group at FIDIS. He collaborates with biofabrication and Bioengineering groups at the University of Maastricht and the University of Rowan (USA). He is the author of more than 40 publications in scientific journals and 60 conference contributions in the field of microfabrication with laser and more recently in the development of 3D bio fabrication systems with application in tissue engineering and organ-on-a-chip. He has participated in more than 15 research projects, including 2 principal researchers. He is a professor of the Master's Degree in "Translational Research and Custom Medicine" at the University of Granada and the course "Laser Enabled bioprinting (PH115) in the Masters on" Key Enabling Technologies "and" Biomedical Science "at the National University of Ireland - NUI Galway. He is the co-founder and scientific consultant of the company "3DBIOLUX".
