Daniel Couto BS

Mr. Daniel Couto is a biologics drug development executive with 25 years of experience starting and advancing biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing organizations to higher levels of capability, and productivity. Currently serves as Chief Technical Officer for Verdanta Biosciences, a Microbiome company where he has established a first in class CGMP manufacturing capability. Previously employed as SVP, VP and Director with ContraFect, Merck (MSD) UK, Nuvelo Inc., Genzyme Transgenics, ImmuCell, and Sepracor. He was instrumental several BLA, PAIs, and IND submissions. He holds patents for novel separation technologies such as Bulk Protein Crystallization, HPTFF, and SMB. Mr. Couto received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
