Dr. Daniel Costa is a Medical Oncologist and is involved in clinical and translational research focusing on characterization of the mechanisms of sensitivity and resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors in lung cancers with oncogenic mutations (EGFR, KRAS, among others) or translocations (ALK, RET and ROS1), and the evaluation of airway transcription factors in the pathogenesis of non-small-cell lung cancer.

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology, Dr. Costa earned his medical degree from Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirao Preto of the Universidade of Sao Paulo in Brazil, completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine in Internal Medicine and his fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Hematology/Oncology. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
