Dane M. Chetkovich MD

Chetkovich practices general neurology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and at the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation Neurology Clinic.

Dr. Chetkovich’s current research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that underlie the targeting of ion channels to synapses and other specialized areas of the dendrites of neurons. In particular, the lab is interested in the synaptic targeting of ligand and voltage-gated ion channels, molecules responsible for controlling communication in the brain of mammals.
